AFTER BACH AND ELLINGTON - Duet for Trombone or Euphonium and Tuba, Grade 4

$12.00

In two sections:

1.     The opening Baroque section is an imitative composition in the style of Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Inventions.”

2.     The second section is a swing-style composition using changes (a harmonic pattern) that parallel Ellington’s “Take the A Train.”  Much of the tuba line should be played in “walking bass” style – sounding like a pizzicato string bass as in New Orleans-style jazz.
